Roots y Tubers
In the year 2001, the project of Roots and Tubers began, which ended up having 125 producers, of 30 communities in the cantons of Upala, Guatuso and La Cruz. For low prices reasons, the project flunked during some years.
Nowadays, the market presents new products, such as the yellow or black malanga and the processed yucca. Likewise; the prices have improved, reason for which this project has been reactivated.
The products that are being worked at the moment are: Yucca, Purple and White Tiquizque, Varnish, Coconut Malanga, Yampi, Ginger and Yam. |
